About The Position

Position Summary: The Staff Development Professional is responsible for the design and implementation of education programs and professional development of nurses in their assigned nursing service; focused on clinical outcomes and practice development. Will work closely with department managers and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) on the educational needs assessment and orientation programs for staff, in the assigned nursing division. Ensures that competencies and skills are current and relevant for the nursing staff.

Requirements

  • RN specialty certification uniquely applicable to the specific unit served
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
  • Demonstrated teaching/education/in-service skills with the ability to lead effectively
  • Demonstrated nursing experience in an acute care setting
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Products, including Word & Outlook
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support
  • Bachelor of Science, Nursing
