About The Position

The Clinical Nurse - Child Protection Program Coordinator provides expert nursing, administrative, and operational guidance to staff within the assigned program. This role involves managing projects, facilitating interdepartmental communication, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to pediatric patients. The Coordinator acts as a clinical liaison, consultant, and resource for patients, families, healthcare providers, and community organizations, ensuring comprehensive, coordinated, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • May require specialty certification.
  • Experience with Pediatric Child Protection cases strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to staff within the Child Protection Program.
  • Assist with operational and business functions, including project management and process improvements.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, referring physicians, care teams, and community resources to facilitate seamless communication and care coordination.
  • Collaborate with patient navigators and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans and assessment protocols.
  • Ensure the delivery of evidence-based care aligned with national and statewide clinical practice guidelines.
  • Facilitate access to appropriate services and resources for patients and families.
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives, including the development of clinical pathways and quality metrics.
  • Promote safe, efficient, and cost-effective care management practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate care delivery to ensure adherence to established program standards and best practices.
  • Support staff education, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
