At Goodstart, child safety is at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a Child Protection Partner who can work closely with our centres to guide, support, and strengthen how we respond to safeguarding concerns across Australia. As a Child Protection Partner , you’ll play a critical role in supporting centres to manage safeguarding concerns, child protection matters, and potentially harmful situations involving children. You’ll provide guidance, ensure compliance with legislative requirements, and support centres through reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions, helping to create safe environments where children can thrive.

Requirements

  • Experience in child protection, safeguarding, case coordination, or issues management
  • Strong understanding of reporting obligations and regulatory requirements (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to manage sensitive and complex situations with professionalism and care
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to guide and support stakeholders
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing needs
  • Experience working in a customer-focused or stakeholder-driven environment
  • A collaborative approach with a strong commitment to child safety and wellbeing
  • Working with Children Check (relevant to your state/territory)

Responsibilities

  • Support centres in managing child protection concerns, ensuring timely and appropriate responses
  • Provide advice and guidance on reporting obligations across different states and territories
  • Assist with investigations, risk mitigation strategies, and incident follow-up and close-out
  • Prepare and manage documentation and reporting to regulatory bodies and reportable conduct schemes
  • Build capability within centre teams to identify, respond to, and prevent harm
  • Coach and support educators and leaders to confidently manage safeguarding situations
  • Maintain accurate records and systems to track safeguarding incidents and outcomes
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong child protection practices
