About The Position

The Clinical Nurse B-MC (SSN) Flexible Integrated Team (FIT) is a supplemental staffing role within Loma Linda University Shared Services (LLUSS). This nurse operates from a primary department but is flexibly reassigned to various patient care departments at Loma Linda University Medical Center to address staffing needs, including covering sick calls, vacations, legislative leaves, or vacancies. The role demands adaptability and the use of independent judgment to prioritize, coordinate, deliver, and document direct and indirect age-specific and developmentally appropriate patient-centered care in a dynamic environment. The nurse is expected to perform the full nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation) with minimal supervision, adhering to the Professional Practice Model (Duffy's Quality Caring Theory) to foster individualized physical, psychosocial, and spiritual wellness, and provide compassionate bereavement support when necessary. Operating within a skills mix environment, the nurse delegates tasks to unlicensed staff according to their scope of practice. This position requires the application of theoretical concepts to clinical practice and a commitment to continuous expansion of knowledge and clinical skills, particularly within their specialty area. The nurse must meet all qualifications, licensure, certifications, competencies, and staffing requirements as defined by SSN guidelines, and demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service.
