About The Position

Clinical Manager – Jeffersonville Clinic Eye Associates of Southern Indiana is seeking a skilled and proactive Clinical Supervisor to guide the daily operations of our Jeffersonville location (302 W 14th St). This position is ideal for someone with a strong ophthalmic background who enjoys leading teams, improving workflows, and ensuring patients receive outstanding care in a busy clinical setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years in an ophthalmic clinical setting
  • Prior experience in clinical supervision or management
  • Strong understanding of ophthalmic standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with EHR systems
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to use ophthalmic instruments and perform fine‑motor clinical tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. and perform routine physical activities such as bending and reaching

  • JCAHPO certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development Provide day‑to‑day oversight for clinical staff, including technicians, scribes, diagnostic personnel, and support roles.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor new and existing team members.
  • Evaluate competencies, maintain documentation, and support ongoing skill development.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments and ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
  • Physician Support & Clinic Operations Manage provider schedules, templates, and clinic flow to ensure efficient patient movement.
  • Act as the primary communication bridge between clinical staff and physicians.
  • Assist with onboarding new providers and subspecialists to ensure smooth integration.
  • Quality, Safety & Regulatory Oversight Ensure proper infection control, sterilization procedures, and medical waste handling.
  • Monitor medication and supply inventory, collaborating with the surgery center as needed.
  • Conduct chart audits, safety checks, and incident follow‑ups.
  • Maintain compliance with ophthalmology‑specific regulations and internal policies.
  • Patient Experience & Program Implementation Roll out new clinical processes, technologies, and service offerings.
  • Oversee patient education efforts and informed‑consent workflows.
  • Collaborate with marketing on outreach efforts and internal initiatives.
  • Administrative & Organizational Leadership Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to operational planning.
  • Support conflict resolution, performance discussions, and staff development.
  • Review emergency response outcomes and recommend improvements.
