The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the management of a nursing unit for patients with illnesses such as sepsis, COPD, renal failure, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure. The Clinical Nurse Manager is also responsible for the supervision of personnel assigned to the unit. The Clinical Nurse Manager is accountable for clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, including patient satisfaction for a broad range of patients as it relates to their age. The number of patients responsible ranges from 24-65 in acute care. The Clinical Nurse Manager is also responsible for management of human, fiscal, and other resources, development of personnel, and compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
