About The Position

The Clinical Manager of Hospice is responsible for the oversight and program management of the Clinical component of the hospice program and services in all settings ( homes, facilities, hospitals). The Clinical Manager manages organization, direction and staffing according to hospice scope of services and patient/family needs. The Clinical Manager oversees the integration and standardization of care throughout Hospice services from the basis of Mission, Vision, Strategic priorities, Clinical Scope of Practice, Performance Improvement and Fiscal objectives --through coaching and teaching functions. Specialty: Hospice Location : Franklin County and six surrounding counties

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse - State Board of Nursing license state of Ohio
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Two years' experience in a hospice agency.
  • Must possess progressive supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective interface with clients, professional clinical staff and all other related team members.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License, from state in which practicing and have reliable transportation to and from the work site

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the appropriate Human Resource programs support and sustain agency growth. Programs include recruiting, employing and retaining qualified individuals to maintain staffing levels, staff development, safety, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Provides leadership and administrative support to agency operations.
  • Responsible for the management and supervision of staff providing direct client care, and assigned office colleagues
  • Oversees the delivery of quality client care through the application of health care knowledge in conjunction with physician orders and established policies, procedures and standards of practice.
  • Directs and supports orientation of managers, supervisors, and all direct client care staff, contract and contingent staff to the organization and to the delivery of clinical services.
  • Directs and supports in-service education and other continuing education activities.
  • Completes performance evaluations on all direct reports per policy.
  • Assures agency staff compliance with federal/state and accreditation regulations through record review, case conferencing, and mentoring.
  • Participate in leadership functions of the agency as a part of the management team.
  • Participates in the development of budget(s) for area(s) of responsibility.
  • Maintains and controls resources necessary to meet productivity/budget standards
