Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in the beautiful high desert of southeastern Arizona, committed to serve residents in Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, Cochise County – a population of more than 131,000 people, and our surrounding communities. We’re comfortably nestled in the San Pedro River Valley, 75 miles southeast of Tucson. Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Growth and advancing technology dictated building our new 177,000 square foot hospital at 5700 E Hwy 90 completed in 2015. As a Clinical Liaison, you will play a vital role in facilitating the patient intake and admission process by performing on-site clinical evaluations to determine the appropriateness of patients for rehabilitation. Serving as the primary point of contact for referring facilities, patients, and families, you will effectively communicate treatment options, admission requirements, and patient expectations. You will also gather key information related to patient benefits and resources while building and maintaining relationships with external case managers, discharge planners, and payors. This role requires clinical licensure, strong assessment skills, and the ability to navigate electronic medical records. A background in sales, marketing, or formal sales training is preferred, for success of role.

Requirements

  • Clinical Licensure required
  • Previous clinical experience preferred with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Marketing and Sales/Formal Sales training experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Educate the community on acute rehabilitation to develop census through face-to-face contacts.
  • Develop business based on the strategic goals of the rehabilitation program.
  • Build relationships with referral sources within the assigned territory through in-person outreach.
  • Identify and address barriers to the admission process in collaboration with the program director.
  • Maintain face-to-face contact with patients, families, and referral sources in the market territory.
  • Conduct in-person in-services and presentations to educate stakeholders on available programs and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
