About The Position

The Clinical Lead plays a key supporting role within the clinical team, working directly under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), supporting client needs and technician development. This position assists with the management of client care by helping to support client non-billable needs and provide guidance to behavior technicians on therapeutic and program implementation. Through collaboration, documentation, and team support, the Clinical Assistant helps promote high-quality, effective therapy services for clients and families.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree preferred in Psychology, Education, or other similar fields, Bachelor’s degree required with BCaBA course sequence.
  • At least 75% of total practicum hours collected and submitted to practicum supervisor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Word and Excel skills.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify issues and create solutions.
  • Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks while maintaining organization and accuracy.
  • No past criminal history.
  • Travel to various clinic sites or client locations may be required.

  • Bilingual or multilingual is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete non-billable tasks assigned by the BCBA associated with direct therapy implementation, including but not limited to support in-person for the clients’ Behavior Technicians, assisting with program development, communication with client’s caregivers, and data review to implement decision making in collaboration with the BCBA
  • Demonstrates appropriately and timely communication and collaboration to the assigned BCBA on clinical items related to client care and technician support
  • Demonstrates active and consistent engagement with practicum, including timely submission of practicum paperwork, attendance in Clinical team meetings, and solicitation of appropriate tasks
  • Attend regular training, check-ins, and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all clients, staff, and external stakeholder interactions.
  • Maintain client privacy in accordance with all HIPAA regulations and with Gateway policies and procedures manual.
  • Document and maintain accurate and organized client and employee notes, data, and reports for internal and external processes.
  • Practice good customer service by following up with families upon completion of the assessment report to answer any questions, provide clarification, and ensure they understand the recommended treatment plan.
