About The Position
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory testing, with a primary focus on blood bank operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment to support high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Valid New York State License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant laboratory experience
- Hands-on experience in blood bank operations (required)
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited laboratory technology program
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing in blood bank, hematology, and chemistry
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of test results
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
- Adhere to all laboratory safety, compliance, and quality control procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment
- Participate in rotating weekend coverage as required
