About The Position

We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) at Riverview Regional Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare. The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. They play an important role in the diagnostic process, contributing significantly to patient care and treatment.
If you have experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) you are encouraged to apply for this position.
Shift’s Available: Days
Employment Type: Per Diem or PRN
Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 6:30PM

Requirements

• ASCP certification, or equivalent required
• bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489)
• current and valid state license if the laboratory is located in a state where required

Nice To Haves

• One year hospital laboratory work experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• perform laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions, this may include routine tests as well as specialized tests
• interpret lab test results and identify any abnormalities, ensure the accuracy and reliability of these results to assist doctors in making informed decisions about patient care
• implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain high standards in laboratory testing, you may also calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results, input data into our laboratory information systems
• ensure all laboratory operations comply with hospital policies, governmental regulations, and accreditation requirements
