About The Position

Lighthouse Lab Services is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Lab Scientist to join a dynamic team in Richmond, CA. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to public health through meticulous laboratory testing and analysis. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in LC-MS, Chemistry OR Molecular testing and hold an active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license or CGMBS license.

Requirements

  • Active and valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or CGMBS license is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Mass Spec, Chemistry OR Molecular testing within a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex chemical analyses on biological samples with precision and accuracy.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring all are calibrated and functioning correctly.
  • Interpret and report test results in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols and quality control standards.
  • Participate in the development and validation of new testing procedures and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other laboratory personnel and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and test accuracy.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior laboratory staff as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of laboratory activities and findings.
