Clinical Lab Assistant - Job Summary Performs laboratory procedures across designated responsibilities including test recording, performance, and reporting. Ensures specimen and testing material quality to produce timely, accurate results that benefit patient care. Handles complex clerical and processing tasks requiring independent judgment for reproducible reporting. Conducts diagnostic testing on clinical specimens with minimal supervision, following standard operating procedures. Provides preliminary assessments to clinicians regarding infection presence and severity. Performs quality control to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of results and prepares quality assurance reports for lab supervisors. Assists technical staff with loading and unloading specimens from analyzers. Manages departmental inventory, including counting and storing received items. Collects and prepares biohazardous waste for lab removal.
