About The Position

Performs laboratory procedures across designated responsibilities including test recording, performance, and reporting. Ensures specimen and testing material quality to produce timely, accurate results that benefit patient care. Handles complex clerical and processing tasks requiring independent judgment for reproducible reporting. Conducts diagnostic testing on clinical specimens with minimal supervision, following standard operating procedures. Provides preliminary assessments to clinicians regarding infection presence and severity. Performs quality control to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of results and prepares quality assurance reports for lab supervisors. Establishes a consistent record of accurate work with attention to detail. Demonstrates commitment to high-quality standards and supports team collaboration. Communicates effectively and appropriately. Exercises sound judgment in determining what to communicate, to whom, and how. Speaks clearly and credibly, listens actively, and respects others' viewpoints. Works independently with minimal supervision. Collects and prepares biohazardous waste for lab removal.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to understand and follow clinical protocols and procedures
  • Passing scores required on data entry and medical terminology tests
