About The Position

Meadowridge Academy offers comprehensive treatment to adolescent males and females with mental health issues, behavioral difficulties and complex trauma histories through the use of individualized care and strengths based, trauma informed treatment. We use the evidenced based treatment model - ARC to help students build positive relationships, learn self regulation skills, and transform their individual interests into sources of strength, resiliency and success. During Your Internship You Will: Receive both individual and group supervision Participate in all clinical consultations and trainings Support students in the milieu and school setting Develop clinical case formulations utilizing the ARC model Review intake material Coordinate with collaterals Complete the CANS Assessment, Biopsychosocial Assessments and other treatment related assessments Facilitate individual therapy Lead or co-lead group therapy Complete all documentation related to the clinical chart including individual and group progress notes and treatment plan Why JRI? Requirements

  • Minimum working towards a Master’s degree or above in the mental health field (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC or LMFT).
  • Both LMHC and LICSW supervision available/supervision by an LICSW/LMHC.
  • Our program has internship availabilities for all semesters.
  • Clinical interest in working with children/adolescents is required and familiarity with trauma informed models of treatment preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
