DonorConnect is seeking a full-time Clinical Informatics Specialist. The Clinical Informatics Specialist I (CIS) is responsible for the daily coordination of the DonorConnect medical records review process in accordance with regulations and industry standards. This position determines Imminent and Eligible classifications on all referrals and coordinates the classification of donor potential. Also, contributes to the data quality improvement process. DonorConnect is a federally designated nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery of organs and tissues to be used for life-saving transplants.   • daily coordination of the DonorConnect medical records review process
  • determines Imminent and Eligible classifications on all referrals
  • coordinates the classification of donor potential
  • contributes to the data quality improvement process
  • Bachelor's degree required, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • RN required
  • Two years of critical care nursing
  • Familiar with medical language, critical care conditions, testing, lab values, potential outcomes, normal and abnormal physiology
  • Ability to assess medical narrative and review medical records
  • Analytical capabilities
  • Ability to use various business equipment, including telephone, computer, printer, etc.
  • Valid driver license
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to write clinical or technical narrative effectively
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to move up to 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
  • ICU experience preferred
