Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in clinical informatics or a related field for specified position Required
  • 1-3 years of experience in a senior or lead role
  • Advanced understanding of clinical workflow design, optimization, and process improvement.
  • Strong skills in test planning, validation, and troubleshooting of clinical system functionality.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilities to lead cross‑functional discussions.
  • Ability to interpret data and present insights for decision‑making.
  • Effective project coordination with the ability to lead portions of complex initiatives.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results independently.
  • Professionalism and adaptability in dynamic clinical settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, or a related field Preferred
  • Certification in Clinical Informatics (e.g., ANCC Informatics Nursing Certification, CAHIMS/CPHIMS) Oracle Health Cerner Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads detailed workflow mapping and gap analysis across complex clinical environments.
  • Designs and executes comprehensive validation and testing strategies for system changes and optimizations.
  • Serves as subject matter expert during go‑live, adoption, and stabilization phases.
  • Guides teams through change management processes and ensures stakeholder alignment.
  • Mentors P1–P2 informaticists on workflow analysis, testing, and deliverable quality.
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements, data standards, and industry best practices in clinical informatics, applying them to system design and management for the specialty area.
  • Analyzes data and performance metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Serves as a liaison between clinical departments and IT, ensuring that clinical needs are represented in system development and deployment.
