About The Position

This position serves as primary support to clinical and operational leadership in monitoring and evaluating processes for outcomes management, performance improvement, patient safety and regulatory compliance. The role involves developing and coordinating components of Sutter Health's Clinical Effectiveness and Performance Improvement (PI) Program. It facilitates clinical improvement activities utilizing PI methodologies and acts as a resource to assist and train others on performance improvement methodologies and evidence-based patient safety and quality initiatives. The consultant provides all levels of management, physicians, and clinical staff with accurate and timely information for effective decision making using internal and external decision support systems. This is a Limited Term position for 26-weeks, offering full benefits.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Management, public health, nursing, business administration, organizational leadership or related field
RN-Registered Nurse of California
5 years recent relevant experience
Operational knowledge of neonatal or pediatric intensive care units
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power Point, and Excel
Ability to format tables, manage databases, retrieve data via queries, and create presentations via Power Point
Ability to navigate an electronic health record
In-depth knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards
Demonstrate written/verbal interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities and departments, including medical staff members
Ability to manage own time and schedule own tasks
Initiative to work effectively without constant supervision and direction
