About The Position

SurgCenter Northeast is hiring a Clinical Educator SurgCenter Northeast is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Temple Terrace, Florida. Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed. The Clinical Educator plans, develops and coordinates continuing clinical and non-clinical in-service education programs within the center for all staff. The Clinical Educator works with leadership and staff to assess current educational needs and develops a plan to satisfy those needs. The position also assists in ongoing revision and implementation of policies and procedures, protocol development and equipment implementation. The Infection Prevention: The surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare associated infections Educating employees about infection prevention and control The development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection prevention and control standards that meet Joint Commission, OSHA, Public/State Health Department, and Centers for Disease Control requirements Promoting health and safety to all employees by facilitating an Employee Health & Wellness Program which includes disease detection, prevention, and treatment Following up on employee illnesses and injuries Conducting employee health screenings Promoting a safe and healthy work environment
