The Clinical Educator supports the training and education of employees based on organizational needs. Designs, develops, plans, implements, and evaluates orientation and continuing education for all clinical levels of personnel. Facilitates professional development of staff; provides leadership to facilitate and promote clinical improvement initiatives. Delivers standardized, competency-based, training and development programs such as new employee orientation, ongoing education, and clinical training. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • 3 years recent clinical nursing experience.
  • Ability to perform assessments and nursing functions as acquired in a basic nursing preparation program.
  • Knowledge of medical workflow, terminology, and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Education or Equivalent.
  • 3 years teaching experience in a classroom and/or clinical setting
  • RN-BC - Nursing Professional Development ANCC - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, plans, and implements standardized education to all clinical staff in all patient populations based on the annual learning education needs assessment.
  • Uses facilitation techniques and a variety of tools and resources available to promote immersive, engaging, learning experiences.
  • Acts as a resource during the orientation process; observes and works alongside the clinical staff in the practice setting and simulated setting during a 30-60-90 day review period.
  • Fosters teamwork and interprofessional collaboration by providing regular feedback and involving peers in decisions that will affect them as it relates to ongoing education.
  • Participates in continuing education activity planning committees for ongoing education to all clinical staff in all practice settings.
  • Assists in the development of staff to function in new roles by providing clinical education and team building consultation.
  • Partners with practice leadership to provide clinical input into action plans to assist with clinical development and resolution of clinical concerns.
  • Connects and aligns regional, group, and business-related goals to all initiatives and activities.
