About The Position

The Bridge Family Center is seeking a Clinical Director of Residential Services to oversee all clinical aspects of residential STTAR Homes (3), as well as the Moving on Project (MOP) and the Mosaic Parenting Center (MPC) (as needed). This includes providing clinical supervision for STTAR Clinical Coordinators and overseeing residential clinical interns. This position is responsible for interfacing with all appropriate community agencies, assuring that all programs achieve and maintain all pertinent licensing requirements and is responsible for overall quality assurance of the program. This position serves as a back-up to the Director of Residential Services in their absence. This position is based out of West Hartford, CT but does require regular travel to the residential programs located in Hartford, West Hartford, and Wolcott (and Manchester as needed).

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Clinical Licensure required, preferably as an LCSW.
  • A minimum of five years of experience working with at-risk children/adolescents, experience working in a 24/7 residential facility, and experience in clinical evaluation and assessment, and staff supervision.
  • Must also have a valid driver’s license with a clean record and the ability to transport clients, if needed.
  • All residential staff must be trained in (or receive training upon hire) First Aid/CPR, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, DCF Medication Administration, and Risking Connection.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, onboards, and trains all clinical staff in the residential program.
  • Lead trainer in milieu training to ensure model fidelity and that, in conjunction with the Program Management, all staff are trained in, and practicing, all concepts of unconditional positive regard, Motivational Interviewing and Risking Connection. Lead trainer of the behavior system.
  • Ensures that all clinical groups, assessments, and treatment plans comply with DCF requirements and adhere to Bridge guidelines.
  • Oversees quarterly clinical trainings in the residential programs.
  • Reviews and signs-off on notes and treatment plans.
  • Serves as a back-up in the absence of the Director of Residential Services.
  • Provides program coverage and/or on-call coverage in the absence of the program Clinical Coordinator.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Represents the Bridge and maintains positive working relationship with various community agencies including but not limited to police departments, fire departments, DCF, schools, after-school programs, legal representatives, cultural agencies, and religious and spiritual agencies.
  • Represents agency in various meetings with DCF and other groups.
  • Participates on advisory councils for residential programs.
