About The Position

This position is responsible for the strategic leadership in the development and oversight of all Healing Place programs, and for educating the Healing Place Board and the public about Healing Place of New Hanover programs, outcomes and processes. This position is a member of the Executive Leadership Team and is the liaison between the administration, operations and the program teams.

Requirements

  • LCA S Supervisor preferred, LCAS Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience and extensive knowledge of THP programs with passionate connection to mission and values
  • Possess strong collaborative leadership style and relationship management abilities
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to travel frequently between facilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Lead all efforts toward achieving and maintaining CARF accreditation, including documentation, staff training, and performance improvement processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with NC DHHS licensure standards, SAMHSA requirements, CARF guidelines, and relevant federal and state statutes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain organization-wide policies and procedures to support compliance, risk management, and consistent clinical practice.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audits, certification reviews, and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee compliance monitoring systems to track adherence to regulations, improve performance, and ensure high-quality care
  • Ensure data collection and reporting are complete and timely
  • Direct all clinical and peer-support programming, ensuring it aligns with best practices and The Healing Place model.
  • Implement evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches across all levels of care.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations for clinical staff.
  • Assure effective communication across and within programs
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of NC Medicaid Transformation, service definitions, and billing requirements.
  • Collaborate with finance and billing teams to optimize Medicaid reimbursement while maintaining compliance.
  • Monitor evolving Medicaid policy and advise leadership on strategic and financial implications.
  • Build relationships with LME/MCOs (e.g., Trillium Health Resources) and other funders to secure sustainable service contracts
  • Contribute to organizational strategic planning and represent clinical interests in executive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders-including DHHS, behavioral health coalitions, and community partners-to advance system integration.
  • Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for recovery-based, evidence-driven care models.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, quality, and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Assist as needed with clinical staff to assure admittance and authorization of clients as treatment needs dictate
  • Maintain referrals relationships for appropriate placement of individuals needs
