About The Position

CentraCare, nestled in the heart of Minnesota, invites passionate and skilled Clinical Dietitians to join our dynamic team. As a Clinical Dietitian, you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll interact as a member of the patient focused care team, using the nutrition care process (nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring/evaluation) in determining nutrition interventions for patients across the continuum of care. Ensuring the implementation of a collaborative plan of care for patients of all ages. Supporting and implementing patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supporting and demonstrating Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics/Nutrition Science required if eligibility for dietitian registration exam is established prior to 1/1/24 or
  • Master's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics/Nutrition Science required if eligibility for dietitian registration exam is established after 1/1/24
  • Registered Dietitian (Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration) required or employment contingent upon passing the registration exam within 90 days
  • Licensed Dietitian or Licensed Nutritionist in the State of Minnesota required if performing services in an outpatient or clinic setting, required within 30 days
  • Valid driver's license in good standing is required with driving record in good standing and minimum amount of insurance liability coverage may be required

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Interact as a member of the patient focused care team
  • Use the nutrition care process (nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and monitoring/evaluation) in determining nutrition interventions for patients across the continuum of care
  • Ensure the implementation of a collaborative plan of care for patients of all ages
  • Support and implement patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate
  • Support and demonstrate Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers
  • Complete clinical nutrition assessments
  • Initiate appropriate nutrition interventions to promote the optimal nutritional status of patients in the hospital
  • Provide nutrition education to patients and families
  • Collaborate with other members of the health care team
