Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD is hiring for a Clinical Dietitian in Adult Clinical Nutrution. Schedule: 40 hours 8am-4:30pm Pay Range: $34 - $45

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist in Maryland.
  • 2 years’ experience as a Registered Dietitian.
  • At least one year of experience working in an inpatient hospital setting is required.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with a cutting edge multi-disciplinary health care team to promote wellness, maintain current health, and/or intervene in acute or chronic illness through evidence-based practices.
  • Involves the assessment and individualized care for our diverse patient population, including patients requiring enteral nutrition and/or therapeutic diets, based on the patients' health care needs.
  • Works with the health care team and provides medical nutrition therapy both in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Assesses patients’ nutrition risk, nutritional needs, and recommends appropriate nutrition intervention.
  • Provides nutrition education to patients and their families and documents patient’s progress in the medical record.
  • Works with Nutrition Services department to ensure patients are receiving appropriate foods for the diet order.
  • Precepts and coordinates learning experiences for dietetic interns.
