About The Position

The Dietitian assesses patients in a timely manner and provides exceptional medical nutrition therapy interventions. They must maintain current competency and practices per acceptable evidence based standards. The Dietitian demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth & development over the life span and modifies patient care based on an individual's age and developmental stage. The Dietitian will develop and maintain professional and effective working relationships with all members of the Interdisciplinary Health Care Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics.
  • Current status as a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Nevada State License required
  • Previous acute care hospital experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) or CNSD (Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian) is desirable.
  • Experience with diabetes, renal and GI Surgery is a plus.
  • BLS a plus but not required
  • Servsafe certification a plus but not required
