About The Position

Primary Function of Position This internship role will support the clinical development engineering team focused on tasks related to new product development of robotic systems, instruments, and accessories across the Multi-port and Single-port da Vinci platforms.

Requirements

  • University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:
  • University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program after the internship.
  • Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
  • Required Education and Training
  • Current enrollment in an Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, or related) degree-seeking program at the undergraduate, Masters or PhD level.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in anatomy, physiology, and/or surgery
  • Analytical capability and practical skills to develop and test theses and draw succinct conclusions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with presentation of technical content
  • Self-starter and able to work in a collaborative and results oriented environment.

  • Conducting background research
  • Creating and refining clinical test scenarios and models
