About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Portage Programs, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision and training to assigned staff members in the Group Services Program, including therapeutic day treatment groups, BH Respite Services, and other group activities as assigned. Additional clinical staff and/or interns may be assigned based on the specific needs for the county.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or relevant field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid Ohio LSW, LPC, MFT, or Psychologist required.
  • Experience: Experience working with children, adolescents and their families.
  • Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company. Must be approved by Bellefaire to transport clients in own vehicle.
  • Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Licensure: Valid Ohio LISW-S or LPCC-S preferred. LISW, LPCC, or other independent license required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in public relations, community development and both clinical and administrative supervision.
  • Must have experience in working with children, adolescents and their families.
  • Other: Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets the underwriting criteria of the Agency’s insurance company. Must be approved by Bellefaire to transport clients in own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to the program and staff including, but not limited to, hiring, supervision, evaluation, disciplinary actions and termination of employees.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision and trainings to Group Services Staff and Field Placement Students.
  • Ensure that all clinical records and documentation are up-to-date, and that staff are meeting designated deadlines for paperwork.
  • Review and approve daily clinical progress notes of Group Services staff and Field Placement Students in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Engage in planning of evidence-based curricula to be used for client treatment. Ensure that staff have all the necessary training and resources to execute planned curricula.
  • Participate in research activities to provide for the evaluation of the program’s effectiveness and consumer satisfaction. These include, but are not limited to, ensuring that appropriate outcomes data are gathered by staff and periodically reviewing collated data with senior management.
  • Co-facilitate Group Sessions as needed due to staff call-offs/time off or for the purposes of modeling and training.
  • Ensure the whereabouts and safety of clients on site during group time.
  • Assist in crisis intervention, problem resolution, and process discussions with clients as necessary to support staff.
  • Participate in client transportation as needed when all other available avenues have been exhausted.
  • Collaborate with members of each client’s treatment team (guardian, case managers, school personnel and other professionals) as necessary to facilitate progress in treatment.
  • Work with Food Services at Bellefaire as well as other relevant community partners to ensure access to food for clients on site for programming. Track relevant reporting data required for these partners.
  • Engage in community outreach and marketing activities to promote programs with relevant partners including, but not limited to, schools, social service agencies, and other provider agencies.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  • All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  • Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  • Assure that staff maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
