JOB OVERVIEW: The Clinic Coordinator role is responsible for providing patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting; performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the delivery of patient care, including greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, collecting patient co-pays and insurance payments, processing paperwork, and performing other front office duties as required in a fast-paced, customer-oriented clinical environment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Direct contact with patients Answer the telephone and handle calls in a timely and friendly manner including appropriate documentation of the call Clinic charge entry Check Out Collect deductible/copays/coinsurance Schedule test Clinic Authorizations Referrals Communicate and monitor physician wait time Maintain operations by following policies and procedures ( HIPPA- OSHA) Schedule follow up appointments Communicate with physician and med tech for effective work flow E- prescribing Submit orders and referrals Post clinic charges Communicate with back office and procedure scheduler as needed. Other duties as assigned
