About The Position

As a Clinical Center Associate I/ Trainee, you will learn to provide essential clerical and administrative support within our inpatient and outpatient centers. In this role, you will receive close guidance as you assist with answering routine inquiries, screening calls, welcoming and supporting patients and visitors, and accurately recording and transcribing physician orders. You will also help maintain clinic schedules, support co-pay collection processes, and participate in team-based activities across the center. The starting rate of pay is $18.33 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • Required Education and Experience for Clinical Center Associate Trainee: Education and Experience High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service.
  • Required Education and Experience for Clinical Center Associate I: 1. Medical Office Assistant Associate’s degree; or 2. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma, completion of an Roswell Park-approved Medical Assistant certificate program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time administrative support experience in a clinical setting requiring the use of medical terminology; or 5. High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service and successful completion of a Clinical Center Associate traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
  • NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
