About The Position

Ambulatory Clinic Tech Full-Time, First Shift Pharmacy hospital I Lexington The Department of Pharmacy Services of Baptist Health Lexington provides pharmaceutical services to patients across the continuum of care. These services include, but are not limited to verification of medication orders, drug distribution, sterile product preparation, hazardous drug preparation, and utilization of automated dispensing cabinets. Description: Assist the pharmacists in the performance of routine duties in the ambulatory clinic. This will require interaction with patients and providers both in person and over the phone, in addition to maintaining clinic records in accordance with the established policies and procedures. Respects and protects patient information according to HIPAA and organizational regulations. Politely and efficiently makes and receives patient telephone calls. Receives and manages referrals. Registers/checks-in patients and notifies the pharmacist they have arrived. Politely and efficiently greets patients and transfers them to the room. Performs finger stick and point-of-care testing per facility protocols. Accurately and efficiently obtains medication history. Schedules initial and follow-up appointments. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 6 months of hospital pharmacy experience required.
  • Required Kentucky Board of Pharmacy registration certificate for Pharmacy Technician
