As a Clinical Catering Assistant at Parexel's Early Phase Clinical Unit, you will play a vital role in ensuring that study participants receive their meals and beverages in accordance with established protocols. This bank role requires flexibility in working hours, with shifts scheduled primarily on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The position involves approximately 31.5 hours of work per week, and the working hours may vary, necessitating adaptability from the candidate. Your primary responsibilities will include distributing food and beverages to study participants, maintaining the catering area, and ensuring compliance with study protocols. You will also be responsible for coordinating food orders with caterers and supervising volunteers during mealtimes, ensuring that all catering requirements are met efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be tasked with checking that meals meet the required macro-nutrient specifications as determined by the Dietician. You will document meal and beverage distribution times, weigh food as required by study protocols, and estimate consumption percentages when necessary. Additionally, maintaining the catering area will be a key responsibility, which includes storing food and beverages properly, performing quality control checks on expiry dates, and ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen and equipment. You will also oversee the staff kitchen areas and maintain stock levels to ensure smooth operations. The position may also involve unit support tasks, such as hospitality set-up and overseeing food orders, as well as other duties as assigned by the manager based on the needs of the Early Phase Clinical Unit.
