We are currently looking for an Audiologist to join our team. We have a high-energy, growing ENT practice with 5 offices across the triangle. Summary of the position: Audiologists will evaluate and manage the hearing and vestibular needs of patients of all ages in a fast-paced ENT practice.

Requirements

  • Audiology doctorate or Master's degree. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred, but we will accept a strong new Au.D. graduate following completion of an externship with extensive ENT experience.
  • Audiology license from the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (required)
  • License from North Carolina State Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board (required if appropriate)

  • Strong counseling and dispensing skills
  • Detailed oriented, organized and efficient with time
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Maintain best practices in Audiology
  • Operate audiometer, NOAH and Microsoft office

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and/or certification from the American Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Association (ASHA) or Certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA) (recommended)
  • Pediatric diagnostic and dispensing experience preferred
  • Willingness to grow and learn throughout career

Responsibilities

  • Perform adult and pediatric diagnostic assessments while providing coverage for ENT physician's clinic
  • Determine appropriate treatment plan including the fitting and dispensing of hearing instruments and assistive listening devices
  • Perform pediatric diagnostic assessments including DPOAEs, tympanometry, VRA and CPA
  • Determine appropriate treatment plan for pediatric patients diagnosed with hearing loss
  • Evaluate hearing devices, perform repairs and maintenance on devices
  • Examine vestibular disorders and provide appropriate treatment and/or recommendations (including evaluation/ treatment of BPPV)
  • Counsel patients and their families on hearing loss and treatment plans
  • Document patient encounters in appropriate EMR system
  • Educate or train other medical staff on communication needs of the hearing impaired, as well as, teaching others on the topics of hearing loss.
