About The Position

The unit is a 13-bed ICU at a Level 3 Trauma Hospital, treating a variety of patient populations with varying acuity levels. It is a state-of-the-art center providing advanced specialty and routine care with an emphasis on patient satisfaction and medical advancement.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required

Nice To Haves

  • Current CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas.
  • Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
  • Documents in electronic medical record.
  • Acts as a receptionist and organizes daily work assignment based on unit priorities.
  • Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
