High school diploma or equivalent. Certified M.A. preferred. Current CPR certification. Minimum of one-year work experience in public contact job, preferably service related. Responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks. Assists in prepping schedules by calling patients to interview them before exams. Other duties may include taking patient history, explains procedure, prepare procedure room and call referring physician office for the technologist or radiologist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Calls patients to confirm appointments and performs a pre-screening interview with the patient. Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and records information in patients’ file. Prepares patient for exam (changing into gown, removing all metal). Prepares treatment room for examination. Prepares trays for exams. Seeks past images for patients who have them or are needed Call reports to the referring physician’s office, when requested. Stock/order supplies, fax reports, and any other duties that may be assigned daily. Perform all other duties as assigned.
