About The Position

The Clinical Assistant facilitates patient visits and supports health care providers by anticipating and responding to patient needs and requests from the health care team. This role allows care providers to focus on patient care by coordinating the details of patient visits, including managing the daily activities of care providers in a multispecialty medical practice, preparing patients, completing pre-examination record information, and managing the flow of patient materials. Responsibilities also include obtaining or verifying patient demographics, advising patients of scheduling delays or changes, and serving as a direct contact and resource to the patient. The position involves performing related clerical duties such as processing prior authorizations (including fax and on-line requests) and processing patient appointment communications and related materials. Specifically, this is a Neurology rooming position where the assistant will be taking patient vitals and rooming them for provider visits.
