Manages advanced practice staff and program activities for an assigned department, including patient care, record-keeping, and personnel. Provides healthcare to individuals or groups that requires knowledge and skill obtained from advanced formal education, certification and clinical experience. Practices within professional scope and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the profession’s Code of Ethics and maintains a current Ohio Advanced License. This is a 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Day shift position involving Departmental Collaboration and Performance appraisals. The role includes Day to Day Scheduling/Staffing, providing APP Clinical expertise, communicating Hospital and APP updates to the team, and collaborating with the APP Manager on new APP hires. Responsibilities also include Onboarding/Orientation of new hires (delegating when appropriate), ongoing education for the team (or delegating to other APPs), facilitating monthly CEU meetings with Neurology APP’s (Friday meetings), presenting important information and updates to group members, and facilitating and helping plan logistics, content and lunch for the APP Annual Retreat for Neurology.
