About The Position

Keene State College’s Business Management Department seeks applicants for a Clinical Assistant Professor to begin August 2026. Our mission is to prepare graduates with the business management skills required to solve complex problems in an increasingly competitive global environment while developing a well-rounded background. Our students come from diverse socio-economic and educational backgrounds, with a high percentage of first-generation college students. By the time Keene State College students complete their undergraduate experience, they develop critical thinking, creative inquiry, intercultural competence, civic engagement, and commitments to well-being and to sustainability that will serve them as active citizens and lifelong learners. The Business Management Department consists of 5 full-time faculty plus several adjunct faculty and more than 275 majors, 150 shared majors, and 100 minors. Our faculty members work closely with local businesses through our internships, community workshops, and service-learning projects. We are located at the academic center of campus, close to Keene’s Main Street, a lively downtown area with restaurants and boutiques that is the heart of the Monadnock Region’s vibrant and diverse economy. Faculty serve as academic advisors to Business Management and Accounting majors. Faculty actively engage in collaborative work and service within the department and across the College to advance future-thinking curricular and co-curricular approaches that strengthen our scholar-practitioner focus and achieve the College’s goals for inclusion and excellence as outlined in the College’s Strategic Plan.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree – Management or Business Administration or Equivalent
  • Prior College Teaching Experience – 2 years’ minimum
  • Relevant Industry Experience – 2 years’ minimum
  • College Teaching
  • Learning Management System (Canvas desired)

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be prepared to teach in an in-person, on-campus format, a required array of courses including Introduction to Management, Organizational Theory and Behavior, Human Resources Management, Business and Society, and Strategic Management for both Business Management and Accounting majors and minors and others.
  • The teaching load is four 4 credit courses per academic semester.
  • Additional responsibilities include participating in departmental activities and campus-wide service, maintaining an active record of professional industry engagement, and pursuing ongoing professional development.
  • Faculty serve as academic advisors to Business Management and Accounting majors.
