The Management and Organization (M&O) Department in the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University has an open rank full-time clinical professor of Management position (with a particular focus in Entrepreneurship). The desired start date for the position is Fall of 2026. Clinical faculty in the Smeal College of Business are hired on a multi-year contract, are expected to teach 18 credits per academic year (or its equivalent) and contribute to the teaching mission of the school by bringing relevant knowledge, experiences, and perspectives to the classroom. Clinical faculty also typically assume leadership roles in the department’s academic programs and mentoring of students including related student organizations. Clinical professors are eligible for promotion (ranks of Assistant Clinical Professor, Associate Clinical Professor, and Clinical Professor). The Department of Management and Organization is consistently ranked in the top-20 management departments for its research productivity and values high-level theoretical and empirical ability, collegiality and collaboration among its members, and the ability to teach management and organizational concepts effectively to multiple audiences. Our department offers two undergraduate majors (Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Management), two online masters programs (Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Strategic Management and Executive Leadership), a PhD program, core and elective courses in Smeal’s full-time and hybrid MBA and DBA programs, and operates the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship (which includes the Garber Venture Capital Fund).
