About The Position

The Department of Pediatrics at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist. This position offers opportunities in academic, patient care, student and residency teaching, and research. The pediatric hematologist/oncologist will conduct patient care, teaching and research (clinical or bench) in the areas of pediatric cancer and blood disorders. The individual will work in the inpatient, day hospital, and outpatient settings. The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology has five pediatric hematologists/oncologists, one Advanced Practice Provider (APP), an oncology pharmacist, nurse specialists, a dedicated research staff with the Pediatric Unified Research Enterprise (PURE) team, a strong psychosocial team with psychologists, child life specialists, and social workers, as well as experienced support staff. The Division is a nationally recognized and funded Hemophilia Treatment Center with a robust Hemophilia 340B pharmacy program, a state funded and nationally recognized Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center, and a member in good standing of the Children's Oncology Group. Requirements

• MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution, or completed foreign medical education accepted and recognized for ECFMGCertification.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of North Carolina.
• Board Certified or eligible for board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
