About The Position

Ensure patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and procedures, assist providers with all aspects of direct patient care with training and demonstrated competency as well as other tasks involved in patient care, such as messages, referrals and scanning. Also included are a heart and vascular center, a maternity center and a comprehensive cancer center located in Anderson. The AnMed Piedmont campus opening in 2025 is among new locations for the growing system. Requirements

  • HSD or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred.
  • Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT required.
  • CMA must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.
