Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Room - Days
About The Position
The Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM)isresponsible forleading the shift operations within the clinicalsetting to ensure delivery ofnhigh-quality care, exceptional customer experience, and optimal patient flow. In conjunction with the Department Nursing OperationsnManager and the Assistant Nursing Operations Manager (ANOM); the CANM provides guidance, fosters collaboration, and isn responsible for the unit’s clinical operations including patient care assignments, customer experience, productivity, and quality outcomes in settings where patients have an advanced illness or injury that routinely requires timely, intense, and complex care to stabilize and support the patient’s medical condition. These areas require a lower caregiver-to-patient ratio and highly trained team members with advanced skills
Requirements
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room setting
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in area of expertise; preferred.
- May require one or more of the following certifications based on the assigned patient population: o Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support(ACLS) o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) o Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) o Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
Responsibilities
- Supports strategic imperatives by attending leadership huddles, assisting in new nursing/clinical initiatives, and fostering positive multidisciplinary partnerships through collegial collaboration.
- Serves as a coach and mentor for the nursing team.
- Expressesideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written communication to team members and groups
- Responsible forleading the shift operations within the clinicalsetting to ensure delivery ofnhigh-quality care, exceptional customer experience, and optimal patient flow.
