About The Position

Duties & Responsibilities Ensure patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and procedures Assist providers with all aspects of direct patient care with training and demonstrated competency. Performs procedures and other tasks involved in patient care. Performs venipuncture to collect patient laboratory specimens Other tasks involved in patient care, such as messages, referrals, and scanning. Provide regular front-office support by greeting the public, answering the telephone, checking in/registering patients, checking out/scheduling follow up appointments and collecting payments. Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient information. Maintains, copies and files patient records and charts. Qualifications Clinical Assistant HSD or GED are required. Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required. Must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience. Requirements
