Job Description Summary The Clinical Application Architect is the senior technical leader for the Cerner Millennium platform and the organization’s primary expert in CCL, Discern, and related development tools. This role provides both hands-on CCL development and system-level architectural oversight to ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of clinical applications. The Clinical Application Architect will facilitate with IT and end users to gather specifications, write, test and troubleshoot reports and discern rules according to business requirements. The Clinical Application Architect will follow all organization change control processes. The Clinical Application Architect will work with other analysts to grow their CCL knowledge on troubleshooting, reports and extracts. The Clinical Application Architect owns code standards, package deployments, environment migrations, upgrade readiness, and overall technical governance for the Cerner ecosystem. The role also supports additional third-party clinical applications and contributes to integration, data quality, and platform optimization efforts.
