About The Position

Overview The mission and purpose of this position is to provide strategic direction and management the System’s Educational and Quality Improvement needs. The Clinical and Quality Supervisor must work to support the clinical objectives and business goals of the organization, while meeting the training and quality assurance expectations. Success can be achieved by ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction, ensuring that all quality reviews are completed, developing targeted training around the results of the quality audits, and embracing MedFleet, LLC’s CARE PLUS Values . Primary Duties Include: Provide day-to-day leadership and direction of all assigned Education and Quality Improvement activities. Develop clearly defined goals and objectives for the Clinical Department. Evaluate and make recommendations for change and improvement based on analyzing clinical data. Evaluate on-going Clinical Department performance criteria to ensure the Department is on- track with established goals and objectives. Ensure operational and medical compliance with response for all local patient-care protocols. Performing and managing overall Quality Assurance reviews and be able to report on the findings to Operations and outside customers as needed. Act as the Liaison for all outside Agencies in regard to patient care issues. Perform all the above functions in accordance with established financial and operational plans and goals pertaining to cost effectiveness and efficient management. Act as a representative on Educational Committees of Local Higher Education Institutions. Responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and assessing EMS accident, fire prevention, and occupational safety and health programs, utilizing knowledge of industrial safety-related engineering discipline and operating regulations. In the area of Risk and Safety, develop organizational processes for creating a safe and healthy work environment. Review and update processes and systems in preparation to achieve CAAS accreditation, through adherence to practices, as appropriate to duties & responsibilities, upon which such accreditation is based. Attend a minimum of 80% of all strategic planning sessions each calendar year. Attend a minimum of 80% of all mandatory leadership meetings each calendar year. Coach and educate colleagues of new and changing information as necessary. Review and resolve documentation issues with crews, Resolve and report Issues with ePCR, Function as a Liaison with Customers for clinical issues, Responsibilities: Compliance The candidate will be working regularly with confidential patient and personnel information. Maintain a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with all appropriate OSHA standards, company policies and local standard operating procedures, Responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal employment laws and company policies. (i.e. - Americans with Disabilities Act, Affirmative Action Plan, etc.), Complies and enforces all policies and procedures, Ensures and Inspects paperwork for accuracy and compliance, Responsible for escalating concerns regarding questionable paperwork to appropriate management. Successfully complete all required Compliance Training within the required time, Provide direction to direct reports to initiate appropriate levels of training, and to promote an environment consistent with MedFleet, LLC. culture throughout the market, Works effectively with Administrative Support to ensure a detailed, organized and highly efficient market approach, Support Corporate initiatives, Responsibilities include directing work, appraising performance, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems, Participate In recruiting and training certain positions, Liaison to field operations with respect to understanding Company Health and Safety Initiatives, Ensure that the group provides outstanding customer service and 24 - hour response time to the field, Coordinate activities to maximize the efficiency of all processes, Ensure that all employees have goals and receive regular feedback on their performance, Performance management of Clinical personnel including, reviews, corrective action, mentoring, development plans and performance improvement plans, Training Ensure that all required Certifications/License are current and remain current, Complete the training in the allotted time the Company sets, Maintain knowledge of job and medical field, Keep current on training for new laws, CMS Regulations and guidelines, Attend available continuing educational seminars to improve management skills and recommend attendance of scheduled sessions to pertinent staff members as well,

Requirements

  • Current Florida State Driver's License in good standing
  • Satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's Driving Policy
  • Current Florida Paramedic license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Credentialed by the National Academy of Ambulance Compliance (NAAC) as a Certified Ambulance Documentation Specialist
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care
  • Ability to read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence
  • Must have the ability to maintain composure and tact in stressful situations.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and through radio and telephone communications.
  • Must possess the ability to demonstrate compassion and a sincere dedication to patient needs, concerns and information confidentiality.
  • Other qualifications/certifications specific to the local operation and/or contract requirements.
  • Physical ability to perform all tasks required in the performance of typical Paramedic duties.
  • The Clinical and Quality Supervisor is required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, step, stoop, kneel; and talk or hear.
  • The Clinical and Quality Supervisor is required to pull, lift, grasp, reach, use hands, finger movement, and repetitive motions.
  • Must frequently lift and/or carry a minimum of 140 pounds up to 200 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Requirements will vary; must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Field Training Officer experience
  • Quality management experience (medical and/or non-medical)
  • AS Degree in EMS or equivalent experience
  • Current Instructor Certifications (BLS, EVOC, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, etc.)
