Work Shift: Varies (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Salary Range: $39.00 - $58.50 Union Position: No Department Details This position will support our Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Daily duties will be Interdisciplinary Team Rounding, providing guidance and support to the Neuro ICU team in collaboration with the manager and Neuro ICU providers, and teaching classes. This position will assist in patient care and work to develop process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in Neuro ICU and will be able to adapt as the duties of this position will fluctuate with the needs of the unit. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required. Schedule will vary with a emphasis on day shifts but working evenings/nights as needed. Summary Demonstrate expert administrative knowledge and clinical skills. Coordinate admissions and transfers of patients. Manage staffing needs and staffing issues with appropriate leadership. Job Description Serve as a clinical and administrative resource for providers, staff, patients, and families. Conduct clinical and staff rounding and facilitate the flow of patient care. Provide back-up assistance for staff. Participate actively in clinical, quality, safety, service, and work flow improvements. Manage clinical projects and serve on committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Specific services/positions may have additional education, training, or experience requirements.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.
