About The Position

This professional staff person is responsible for gathering pertinent clinical information and performing assessments and treatments in the outpatient clinic/medical office setting. The Staff Nurse performs CLIA waived testing, administers medications and performs treatments as ordered by physicians and in keeping with the current clinical nursing practice. In addition, the Staff Nurse performs a range of services in a cross-functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needs for continuity of care. Such duties may include but are not limited to making referrals to outside providers, gathering reports from other facilities, and coordination of other healthcare related services. Assumes, under the direction of the Clinic Medical Director/Laboratory Director responsibility for patient specimen collecting and testing, quality control, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing - LVN or RN
  • Must have a license to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nursing or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact.
  • Successful completion of AHA approved courses in BLS upon hire.
  • One (1) year experience as a Professional Nurse - LVN or RN
