About The Position

Overview

Qualifications:
The following, or equivalents, are the minimum necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
Education/formal training/licensure/certifications/experience:
Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing program with a current unencumbered North Carolina license or a RN multistate licensure privilege through the Nurse License Compact. At least three years of clinical experience in a gynecology care setting is preferred. Certification in Specialty are preferred.
Certification Experience:
Department specific certification requirements must be achieved within the first year of employment.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited RN School of Nursing program with a current unencumbered North Carolina license or a RN multistate licensure privilege through the Nurse License Compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Communicates effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Demonstrates physical assessment and performance improvement skills.
• Displays effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed.
• Demonstrates effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Maintains knowledge of clinical practice systems and financials and the impact of each workload management and outcomes.
• Knowledge of medications and their effect on patients; strong interpersonal and verbal skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work with accuracy and speed, perform several tasks at one time and react calmly and effectively in an emergency.
• Venipuncture/port access skills and knowledgeable of lab values and diagnostic testing.
• Computer and EHR literate.
• Basic understanding of billing and compliance.

Nice To Haves

• At least three years of clinical experience in a gynecology care setting is preferred.
• Certification in Specialty are preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (ONS)
• Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• ONC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certificate
