About The Position

UnityPoint Clinic Clinic Nurse - RN Palliative Care Waukee, IA Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Full-time + benefits $5,000 sign on bonus offered! We are looking for an experienced RN who is comfortable in Palliative care conversations. That may include things like pain management medication and controlled substance agreements, and end of life processes discussions. Requirements

Valid and current RN licensure in the state of Iowa
Registered Nurse (RN) – Iowa Board of Nursing
Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
Palliative or Hospice experience would be ideal
Charge nurse experience could also be a plus!

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
