Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, business people, tech experts, researchers, and systems analysts to advance our mission. As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham. The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high-quality, low-cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham’s unified system strategy to bring healthcare closer to patients while lowering total healthcare costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. We share the commitment to delivering a coordinated and comprehensive experience across all locations, ensuring the appropriate level of care is available to every patient across our care delivery sites. Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. We treat adults and children ages 3 and older and provide care for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including allergies, asthma, coughs, bronchitis, colds, flu, COVID-19, fever, headache, broken bones, sprains and strains, eye and ear infections, rashes, cuts, sexually transmitted infections, stomach pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need. We are seeking a Part-time, 24-hour-per-week Clinic/Practice Assistant to support our Urgent Care Resource Call Center. This role consists of three 8-hour shifts per week, working 2–3 weekdays and every third weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Additionally, the Clinic/Practice Assistant will be scheduled for on-call coverage every ninth weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Two shift options are available: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM. This is a primarily remote position; however, staff are expected to report onsite if unable to work remotely due to unexpected circumstances (e.g., internet outage). The Urgent Care Resource Call Center supports a high-volume environment, managing approximately 200–400 calls daily across 2–4 agents, depending on seasonal demand. Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care during the day, evening, weekends, and holidays, the schedule for this role will also require holiday coverage and the flexibility to work overtime as needed. Please note: Employees may be expected to be on-site for all hours worked during the first week of employment for onboarding/training. This role will be fully remote after the successful completion of the training program, with occasional in-person training as needed. Whether you are seeking to gain more experience in the healthcare industry or a proven healthcare professional seeking a new challenge, the Clinic/Practice Assistant role is the opportunity for you!
