Requirements

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire and At least four (4) years’ experience in a clerical capacity.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Attention to Detail: Able to accurately perform the assigned work without error. Expected to understand patient health insurance providers and scheduling protocol for physicians and APNs. Collects insurance information and updates patient demographics Verifies insurance as needed
  • Multi-tasking: Able to work through large volume reports, communicate to hospital staff, clinic staff and patients, and assist with answering the phone or helping a patient in the office while maintaining accuracy and complete tasks. Able to schedule clinic appointments per protocol for different physicians and departments. Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments Responsible for working recall orders and notifying patients that it’s time for return appointments
